Mojo Books and Records to host Household + locals

The Minneapolis-based hardcore punk band Household will perform alongside some well-know local punk acts from Tampa on Oct. 2 at Mojo Books and Records in Tampa.

Household started in 2013 and has quickly made a name for themselves in local punk/hardcore scene in Minneapolis. They recently signed with Blood & Ink records based out of Richmond, Virginia. On Sept. 25, the bands newest full-length, Time Spent, will release on Blood & Ink. You can also stream it now here.

Local acts Morris Bridge, Big Brother and Drug will open for Household at the Oct. 2 show. All three bands are local hardcore/punk bands with Drug’s bassist, Jack Jallo, running his own DIY venue in Odessa.

Mojo Books & Records has been hosting shows since they were at their old location back in 2007 and 2008. Melanie Cade, co-owner of Mojo, said they host these types of shows to support the local music scene and also introduce people in Tampa to great touring acts.

“It’s a good dynamic, where the local bands can bring a good turnout, and in turn expose people to some amazing out of town acts they would never have seen otherwise,” Cade told Zero Warning.
