The Coastline Festivals scheduled to be held in St. Petersburg and Pompano Beach have been cancelled, festival organizers announced via Facebook earlier today. The Facebook post is quoted below:
We regretfully must announce that Coastline Festival on February 21st and 22nd has been cancelled. All ticket purchasers will be refunded from point of purchase. If you purchased your ticket through Ticketmaster this will automatically be credited to your account within 5 business days. The festival will be going on a hiatus and rescheduled for a future date.
Everyone involved with Coastline would like to thank the fans and the music, food, art, and craft community for their support, and we look forward to hopefully seeing you in the near future.
Popular opinion on Facebook seems to be that the lineup was not as strong as other festivals that have been announced recently. Coastline, Gasparilla Music Festival and Big Guava all announced their lineups within three months of each other.
Festivalgoers certainly had their work cut out for them; General admission tickets range from $60 to $135, with Big Guava being on the high end. Spending hundreds of dollars on multiple festivals is out of the question for many music fans.
Zero Warning will be eagerly awaiting the announcement of new dates and a new lineup. Until then, you can purchase tickets for Gasparilla Music Festival held March 7th and 8th and Big Guava Music Festival held May 8th and 9th.
